Elsie Mae Talbott Chilton, 81, formerly of 400 S. Fieldcrest Road, passed away Tuesday morning, March 2, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 5, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Johnny Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery. Mrs. Chilton was born January 30, 1929 in Draper, NC (now Eden), daughter of the late Roer and Maude Frances Talbott. She was a member of Draper Christian Church. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Smith and husband, Gary, and Donna Gray, both of Eden; sisters, Donna Lawson, Dolly Hopkins, and Leona Spencer, all of Eden; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Dillard Chilton. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 400 S. Fieldcrest Road in Eden.
