Announcement of the marriage of Miss Anseth Jones to Oliver Travis, jr., of Ralls on March 1, in Haskell was made Friday by the bride's mother, Mrs. Ann Jones, 1514 Avenue M.
The couple is home temporarily in Ralls, where Mr. Travis is with the survey division of the State Highway Department. Mr. Travis had planned to attend New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell and Mrs. Travis was going to school in California this fall, but now they plan to continue their schooling together.
Mrs. Travis was graduated from Lubbock High school last spring, where she was prominent in activities. She is a charter member of the Sub-Deb club.
Mr. Travis is a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Edd McLaughlin of Ralls. He was graduated from Ralls High school last spring.

Mrs. Hansen attended Texas Technological College and Lieutenant Hansen attended Castle Heights Military Academy.

She died Monday at a Galveston hospital.
Mrs. Childs was a past president of the Community Theater Guild of Fort Worth. She had acted in several local productions and had participated in many activities at Casa Manana. She worked as a volunteer for the American Red Cross for 20 years as an entertainer and driver. She owned Texas Toys in Grapevine.
Survivors include her mother, Anseth Teel Jones of Lubbock; and her daughter, Chisai Childs of Branson, Mo.
