Born August 1, 1910 in Limestone County, she married James R. "Slim" Childers March 20, 1930 in Abilene. They farmed and "Slim" worked in the oil fields in Callahan County until 1939 when they moved to Ovalo where they farmed until James retired.
Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Floyd (Loys) Allmand; two sons, John of Wichita Falls and Tonny McLean of White Sulfer Springs, West Virginia; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
