Funeral services were held from the Poplar Creek Baptist church recently for George C. Chesteen, of Kilmlchael, who died following a lengthy illness. Rev. G. M. Jefcoat officiated.
Mr. Chesteen had been a life long resident of Montgomery county and was 84 years of age at the time or his death.
He Is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Chasteen, four sons, G. M Chesteen, Kllmichael; O. P. Chesteen, Stewart, Wiley Chesteen, Kilmlchae,. G. D. Chesteen, Washington: two' daughters, Mrs. J. M. Komp, Kilmlchael; Miss Helye Chesteen, Nacagdoche, Texas, and two sisters, Mrs. D. S. Ware, Kllmichael. and Mrs. Frank Williams, Fort Worth.
Burial was made In. the Kilmichael cemetery.
