CHESNUT—Charles P. Chesnut, 87, of Reserve, died April 28, 1975, at the Brown County Infirmary where he had been a resident since February 6, 1973. He was born August 29, 1887, at Salem, Nebr., the son of Mr. Mrs. Leesel Chesnut, and lived in the Salem area, moving to the Reserve area when he was 10.
He married Agnes Murphy in Falls City, Nebr. She preceded him in death May 30, 1948. They lived in Reserve most of their married life where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Reserve Christian Church where he was an elder for many years.
He is survived by four sons, Kenneth Chesnut, Floyd Chesnut and Harold Chesnut, all of Hiawatha, and Donald Chesnut of Bellvue[sic], Wash., nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two daughters in infancy, 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday afternoon, May 2, at 2 o'clock, at Chaney, Hodges, Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Falls City, with the Rev. Harold Wolf officiating. Interment will be in the Cornelison Cemetery at Reserve.
