Gertrude "Goody" Brenner, neeChesler; adored, beloved, and cherished wife of Howard M. for almost 68 years (Aug. 1, 1943); mother of Paul (Jan) and Rick (Suzi) Brenner and Bliss (Brian) Felddman; Bubi to Russell (Janika), Lee, Joshua, Douglas, Kenny, Tedd, Rande, Noah and Corey Brenner and Romy (Jess) Leroy; Great-Bubi of Oliver and Lya Brenner; sister of Natalie (the late Gene) Handelman, Jacqueline (Al) Kurtzman and the late Bob (Elaine) Chesler. Service Thursday 11 a.m. at The Piser Chapel, 9200 Skokie Blvd., Skokie. Goody passed away Feb. 21, 2011 at the Boca Raton Hospice by the Sea after a brief illness. A 1942 graduate of Marshall High School. Goody was known as Miss Pep Personified and whenever meeting friends from the past their first question was always "How's Goody?" Son-in-law Brian said she was a delicate flower. He was right. She was a beautiful blossom and when she walked into a room everyone and everything glowed much brighter. Goody was a marvelous wife, mother, mother-in-law and most of all a devoted Bubi and Great-Bubi. She will be truly missed.
