During her genealogy my sister Mabel could find no official burial information for our great grandfather Alden Cheney. She suspected he was buried in the Valley View Cemetery in Persia, next to his wife Elizabeth Marshall Cheney. On April 4, 2004 Mabel & Wanda went to the Logan Iowa courthouse & library. The Logan Herald Observer had microfilmed newspapers of the date Alden Cheney obituary. It was at this library we found that internment was at Valley View Cemetary outsid of Persia, Iowa. His grandaughter Anne Peterson Hadfield had a stone cutter add Alden's name to the stone. Rest in Peace Alden Cheney.
