Jacob and Elizabeth
(Kemble) Cheesman, married
Lydia Kenworthy (1871-1964)
in 1894, West Point, Indiana.
Lewis rarely used his first
name and was known as "Levi"
Cheesman. Both he and his
wife are buried at Farmer's
Institute Friends Cemetery.
Simple uninscribed round
rocks, that marked their
graves in old Quaker tradition,
have been removed in recent decades.
The 10" to 20" round stones were
apparently reused to line the tiny
roadway that loops the center of the
burial ground, probably by caretakers
unaware of the rocks signifiance.
