Jesse Coach Cheese Cheeseborough, 84, died on September 29, 2011 at his home in Jacksonville, Florida. Jesse attended local schools and was employed at Maxwell House for 35 years. He also received an Honorable Discharge after serving in the United States Army during WWII. Jesse was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Oakland. Coach Cheese was active in his community as a coach and mentor at Kooker Park for 35 years impacting the lives of many young men and women. Jesse is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eartha; children, Clarence (Pauline) Hutchens, Bernadette Gantling, Cynthia Jones, William Brown, Eva (Michael) Clowers and Jose (Kim) Cheeseborough. He will remain forever in the hearts of his 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Eastside Chapel of Marion Graham Mortuaries, 900 A. Philip Randolph Blvd. from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Oakland, 1025 Jessie Street, Pastor Torin T. Dailey. Mr. Cheeseborough will receive a military burial on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 11:30AM in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road.
