Mrs. Linda Carol Cheek Billings, age 65, of Traphill died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Hugh Chatham Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 2:00 PM, May 2, 2013 at Stoney Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Johnson, Rev. Joey Burton and Rev. Joel Blevins officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Billings was born August 23, 1947 in Surry County to Burnett and Nannie Mae Spicer Cheek. She was a member of Stoney Ridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by: her husband, Benny R. Billings of the home; one son, Benjamin L. Billings and wife, Kayla of Traphill; two grandchildren, Shaylen Billings and Brayden Billings; her mother, Nannie Mae Spicer Cheek of Thurmond; one sister, Norma Jean Baker of State Road; four brothers, Larry Cheek of Sparta, Bobby Cheek of Roaring Gap, Ricky Cheek and wife, Melissa of Thurmond, Roger Cheek and wife, Debbie of Elkin; five sisters-in-laws, Reo McBride, Ella Byrd, Jan Billings, Janice Billings all of Winston-Salem and Arkie Crabb Pardue of Traphill.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
