Veda Hoover Chaviers
Funeral service for Veda Hoover Chaviers will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel in Nacogdoches with Bro. Glenn D. Morton; officiating and Bro. W.E. Fuller and Bro. Barry Rankin assisting. Interment will be at Simpson Campground in Woden, Texas. Veda Hoover Chaviers, 89, of Woden, Texas, passed away December 7, 2009, at her home in Woden. Veda was born November 8, 1920, in Trawick, Texas, to Nicholas and Mallie Hoover. She was a lifelong member of the Woden United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking, but most of all she enjoyed taking care of her family, as well as all living things. Mrs. Chaviers is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey E. Chaviers; son, Anthony Chaviers; and granddaughter, Lisa Chaviers. Veda is survived by daughter, Sandi Chaviers Barts and husband, Mark, of Mount Enterprise, Texas; son, Autrey Gene Chaviers and wife, Carol, of Lipan, Texas; sister, Vada Satterwhite of Mount Enterprise, Texas; daughter-in-law, Barbara Chaviers of Nacogdoches, Texas; nine grandchildren, Cathy Chaviers of Sugar Land, Texas, Danny Chaviers, Tracey Meador and Johnny Chaviers of Nacogdoches, Texas, Michael Chaviers of Lipan, Texas, Shawn Chaviers of Stephenville, Texas, John Chaviers of Houston, Texas, April Oswald of Mount Enterprise, Texas, and Brian Barts of Henderson, Texas. She is also survived by special niece, Gaynelle Hollis of Trawick, Texas; and her faithful companion, CoCo. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jason Meador, Jacob Meador, Timmy Oswald, Brandon Smith, Benny Rapsilver and Danny Chaviers. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors in Nacogdoches, Texas.
