Mary was born on August 5, 1951 in Holly, Colorado to the late Macario Sena and Bersabella Manzanares-Sena.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. Mary worked as a CNA for several home health agencies. Mary provided childcare for many different families including her own grandchildren. Mary was a former Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Macario and Bersabella Sena, her maternal grandparents whom raised her, Geronimo Manzanares and Simoncita Manzanares, husband, Raymond Chávez, sisters, Elvina Romero and Alice Villanueva, brothers, Enrique Sena, Selustrano Sena and Raymond Sena and infant daughter, Adelina Chávez.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Ramona Montoya and her husband, Gabriel, Denise Manzanrez and her husband, Michael and son, Simon Sena and his wife, Tara, 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother, Carmel Sena, mother-in-law, Mercedes Gallegos, sisters-in-law, Flora Vance and her husband, Paul, Esther Chávez and her friend, Sam García, Connie Gallegos and her husband, Anthony Apollo, brother-in-law, Ernest Chávez, very special friend, Sara Sandoval and family pets, Tiny, Bubbles and Deanie. Being that she was raised by her grandparents she has many cousins she considered as brothers and sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary devotional services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva, New Mexico. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva, New Mexico with Father Ronald Stone as celebrant. Interment will be at Sena Cemetery in Sena, NM with the following serving as casket bearers, Steven Sena, Anthony Manzanares, Samuel Sena, Richard Montoya, Antony Vigil, Timothy Sena and Paul Vance. Honorary bearers will be all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Greg Sena.
