Doris L. Burnett, 84, of Eaton, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Greenbriar Nursing Center. Born Jan. 29, 1914, in Springfield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Harry F. and Reathis (Ridgeway) Chase. She had lived in Preble County since 1950, and was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker at East Elementary School in Eaton. Her husband, Harold L. Burnett, died Sept. 10, 1976. Two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Rollyson and Linda Richardson, both of Eaton; two sons, Leon Burnett of Richmond, Ind., and Gerald Burnett of Gratis; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 17, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Burial was in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
