Scott Townsley Chase, age 46, A resident of Aurora, IL for fourteen years, formerly of Elmhurst, IL, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke Medical Center, Chicago, IL.
He was born April 28, 1958 in Oak Park, IL. He is the beloved Husband of Michelle T. (nee Miller) Chase of Aurora, whom he married March 2, 1991. The beloved Father of Austin, Townsley, Kelsey Michelle and Morgan Therese, all of Aurora. Devoted Son of Richard and Mary Jo (nee Townsley) Chase of Elmhurst, Cherished Brother of Kent Chase of Elmhurst, Devoted Grandson of the late Ralph and Josephine Townsley and the late Frank and Lillian Chase, Fond Uncle of Matthew and Patrick Macellaio; Audrey Spies; Stephen and Charles Miller, Dear son-in-law of Charles and Betty Miller of Woodridge, IL. Dear Brother-in-law of Linda (Joe) Macellaio, Cindy (Bill) Spies, Chuck Miller and Diane O'Donnell (Patrick O'Leary), fond Cousin of Daneen Jachino, loving Godfather of Lauren Spies.
Scott grew up in Elmhurst, was a 1976 graduate of York High School and ran cross country track for Coach Joe Newton. Scott held a B.S. in Business from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, IN and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, serving as treasurer. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso College of Law in 1983 and worked as an attorney for Nigro & Westfall, Glendale Heights, IL for 22 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Aurora and attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Aurora where he coached boys and girls basketball and formerly served as Athletic Director. He enjoyed coaching his children in soccer, baseball and basketball, playing golf and cheering for the Chicago White Sox baseball team.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 30, 4:00-9:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Services will begin Thursday, March 31, 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 801 S. Eola Rd., Aurora, IL.
Interment: Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
