Marion Irene Berkhous, 77, of Corry, passed away Thursday, Nov 18, 2010, at 2:30 pm, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. Marion was born Jan 15, 1933, in Corry, the daughter of the late Harold and Alvene (Nelson) Chase. She graduated from Corry Area High School in June 1950. She was a homemaker. She loved her pets, and her hobbies included sewing, going to casinos, and playing cards with her friends. But, most of all, she enjoyed bowling, having bowled more than 50 years on different leagues in Corry and she attended many bowling tournaments. Survivors include her husband, Charles R Berkhous, whom she married two days after graduating from high school, and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary; five daughters, Catherine Willis and her husband, James, of Elgin, Georgia Hawkins and her husband, Johnny, of Corry, Eugenia Bensink and her husband, John, of Clymer, NY, Vicki Edwards of Corry and Jacqueline Berkhous of Corry; three sons, Kenneth Berkhous and his wife, Ann, of Columbus, Russell Berkhous and his wife, Tena, of Russell, and Michael Berkhous and his companion, Diana Campbell, of Atlanta, Ga. Marion was a wonderful grandmother to 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. She is also survived by a brother, Don Chase and his wife, Ruby, of Warren; two sisters-in-law, Sally Hellyer of Beaverdam and Kate Vadovitch and her husband, Bill, of Hawaii; two brothers-in-law, Harris Berkhous and his wife, Helen, of Corry and Jerry Berkhous and his wife, Sue, of Union City; and many nieces and nephews. Family and extended family will be received at Morgan-Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 75 N Main St, Union City...until the hour of a 2:30 pm service with the Rev Rob Willert officiating.
