ALFRED G. CHARLTON Age 92, joined his beloved wife, Barbara, in heaven on October 20, 2011.

They were very happily married for 62 years. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 15, 1919 to Henry and Edith Charlton, he was a remarkable human being and role model for his loving family. Alfred served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was the recipient of many honors and decorations, including 2 Bronze Stars. A resident of Riverside for 84 years, Mr. Charlton was a sales manager for RC Cola for 40 years. He also worked in the same capacity for Coors before owning his own business in the purchase and marketing of plastics.

He is survived by his 3 children, Alfred Charlton Jr. of Yucaipa, Richard Charlton and his wife Patricia of Lake Elsinore, Susan Adams of Riverside, daughter-in-law Bonnie Charlton of San Bernardino and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren of which he was very proud.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25th in the Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Avenue, Riverside, California. His family will be eternally grateful to his loving caregiver, Alicia Rieben. Special thanks to Laura, Chrystal and Chris from Chapman Hospice.
