Arthur "Red" Charlton, 89, of Hampton died Friday (Feb. 27, 2004) at the home of his son in West Deer.
He was born March 6, 1914, in Fairview.
A World War II veteran, he served in the Army Air Corps.
Before retiring, he was a self-employed truck driver.
Mr. Charlton was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Dorseyville, West Deer.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Sharon) Charlton of West Deer, and a brother, Albet Charlton of California.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Mrs. Tracie Lea (Larry) Garmong and Lori Lynn Becthold, and two great-grandchildren, Chad and Julia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Charlton; his parents, four brothers; and a sister.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 tonight at the HERBERT KING FUNERAL HOME, Route 8 at 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, Hampton, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Russ Luther will officiate. Burial will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.
