Beulah M. Charles, 90, of Greeneville, died Sunday at her home.

Mrs. Charles was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and the Negro Women's Civic Club.

She retired after 25 years working as a certified nurse's assistant at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Charles was preceded in death by her parents: Noah and Deadie Penland Gudger; her husband: Oscar Charles; four brothers: Clinton Gudger, Lewis Gudger, Henry Gudger, and Abe Gudger; and a sister: Marion Lewis.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews: Norman C. and Janice Gudger of Greeneville, William H. and Pat Gudger of Rutledge, James E. and Sandy Gudger of Greeneville, Henry Gudger Jr. and Sheryl, Sam L. Gudger, Marion J. Turner, Judy A. and Thomas Carey, Pricilla V. and Bruce Smith, and Brenda Rowe, all of Indiana; several special great-nieces and great-nephews; and two cousins: Gwendolyn Horne of Asheville, N.C., and Margaret Melendez of Ohio.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown.

The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. C.C. Mills Jr. will officiate.

Pallbearers will be her nephews and Eric Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Dabbs, James Jordan, Mark Barner, and the men of Friendship Baptist Church
