Services Monday for Mrs. B.H. Charles
Funeral services for Mrs. B.H. Charles were held at the First Baptist church here Monday by Rev. J.T. Howard, pastor. Burial was made in the Carnegie cemetery under direction of the Pitcher Funeral Home. Mrs. Charles, who was well known here and in the communities south of town, died at an Anadarko hospital Sunday afternoon. She had been seriously ill for the past ten weeks. For a number of years she has been an active member of the South Pioneer home demonstration club and of the Help Your Neighbor club.
Ruthie Thetford was born at Konowa, Oklahoma October 12, 1907. She came with her parents to this part of the state and on December 20, 1924 she was married to Buford H. Charles. To them two daughters were born.
Besides her husband and daughters, Geraldine 12 and Werta Imogene 10, Mrs. Charles is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thetford of Carnegie; a sister, Mrs. Velma Flippin of Carnegie; a brother, Oris Thetford who lives in California, and other close relatives and many friends.
