Elvera Potter (1919 - 2009)
Elvera L. Potter, 90, of Nampa and formerly of Jordan Valley, Oregon, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at a Nampa hospital. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009, at the Jordan Valley Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Jordan Valley Cemetery under direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Potter was born July 2, 1919, at Minneapolis Minnesota, a daughter of Henry and Bertha Knutson Charbonneau. She married Jack Potter and the couple farmed and ranched at Danner, Oregon from 1946 until retirement. Jack died in 2007.
Mrs. Potter is survived by a daughter and son-in law, Barbara and Richard Chock of Nampa, a brother-in-law, Earl Brown of Pheonix Arizona, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three sisters.
The family suggests memorials to your favorite charity and invites friends to a reception at the parish hall in Jordan Valley following the services.
