Paul served as a Technical Sergeant & Engineer on B-24H #41-29423, 786th Bomber Squadron, 466th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Los Angeles County, California prior to the war.

B-24H #41-29423 took off from Attlebridge, England on a bombing mission over Oschersleben, Germany. They were attacked by German fighter planes which damaged the #1 engine causing them to crash in Germany during the war. One parachute was seen leaving the B-24.

Paul was "Killed In Action" on this mission.

He was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here on April 3, 1951.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Service # 37546605

The reason he is named on a group headstone is because when soldiers & sailors were killed in close proximity to each other they were unable, at that time, to identify them separately and interred their remains together in one grave.
