Howard Chappell 79, of Wisner was born on November 2, 1934 to Geter Brooks Chappell and Maudie Barton Chappell in Shreveport LA, and passed from this life on November 14, 2013 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro LA.

Mr. Chappell was a member, and song leader at Wisner Assembly Of God. A man of many talents, he served his community and country as a Military Police Officer in the United States Air Force along with being a salesman, farmer, contractor, great father, friend, and husband. Funeral

Services will be held at 2:00 pm November 16, 2013 at Wisner Assembly of God. Visitation will be November 15, 2013 from 5-9 pm at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro LA. Interment will be at South Central Cemetery, all under the direction of Young's Community Memorial. Officiating the Service will be Rev. Lanny Head, Sister Thresea Johnson and Rev. Randolph Chappell.


Mr. Chappell was preceded in death by; his parents Brooks and Maudie Chappell Brother, Jack Chappell, and Sister Lurlene Richardson.

He is survived by his wife Elaine Chappell. Three daughters; Karen and Husband Rufuss Ryals of Jackson LA, Cindy Beach of Wisner LA, and Debbie and Jack Gibbs of Gilbert LA. Eight sons; Mike and wife April Behrnes of Jackson LA, Kenneth Chappell of Wisner LA, Randolph Chappell and wife Felicia of Rockwall TX, Byron Chappell and wife Sharron of Wisner LA, Donald Chappell and wife Judy of Wisner LA, Kevin Chappell of Winnsboro LA, Mike Stephens and wife Crystal of Gilbert LA, Jeff Stephens and wife Barbra of Gilbert LA, and Keith Stephens and wife Sandy of Wisner LA.. 31 grandchildren and 31 great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be; Leon Richardson, Jackie Richardson, Cole Richardson, Donnie Chappell Jr., JR Roberts, Trevor Roberts, Will Chappell and Michael Stephens Jr..

Honorary Pallbearers; will be Lonnie Welch, Wesley Ezell, and Jonathon Chappell.
