Aged Former Resident Dies
Mother of W. E. Baldridge, official of the Baldridge-Rogers Insurance Agency, Mrs. Emily S. Baldridge, 89-year-old-former Bloomington woman, died late yesterday evening at the State Soldiers Home in Lafayette, Indiana. She had lived in Lafayette for the past eight years.
Formerly a public school teacher in Greene County, Mrs. Baldridge was the widow of John A. Baldridge, who died in 1907. She came to Bloomington in 1910 to live. She had been ill since last December.
Surviving, also; sons, Stewart Baldridge, of the Bloomington Hardware company; John Baldridge, of Columbus; daughter, Mrs. Georgia Watler, of Brazil, Indiana; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. A step-son, Rev. Harry Baldridge, Penny-Farms, Florida, also survives.
The funeral services will be in charge of Dr. William H. Wylie at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Day Chapel with burial in Solsberry. Pallbearers will be; Otho Baldridge, Kenneth Baldridge, Carl Watler Jr., Hugh Morrison, Charles Neal and Cornelius Salee.
The body will be at the Day Funeral Home.
