Frank M. Chapman, a lifelong resident of Jasper county, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday at his home nine miles northeast of Newton. He was 73 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon at the Cummins church, with Rev. J.E. Spencer of Hidalgo officiating. Burial will be in the Hunt cemetery at the Cummins church, with the Reese service in charge.
The body will be taken from the Reese funeral home to the family residence Friday morning.
Mr. Chapman was born May 8, 1878, in Jasper county, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Chapman. On March 15, 1898, he married Myrtle McKinney.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Sidney A Chapman of Willow Hill; a daughter, Mrs. Frona E. Wilson of Newton; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two brothers, Glen of Willow Hill and Harlin of Kansas IL, and two sisters, Mrs Martha Mineo of Willow Hill and Mrs. Emma Anderson of Oblong.
Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
