Beatrice "Bea" Chaplin Buckner, age 96, widow of Walter Vernon Buckner, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the McLeod Hospice House.
The family will receive friends, from 5-7 Monday, January 17, at Belk Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, in Ridgeland Cemetery, Ridgeland, SC.
Surviving are her son, Bill (Katherine) Buckner of Florence, a daughter-in-law, Laura Buckner (Jim) Gossett of Simpsonville, SC, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a sister, Caroline Brewer of Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 512 Spring Street, Darlington, SC 29532 or Highland Park United Methodist Church, 1300 Second Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505.
