Eleeze B. Cash, 80, of Lawton Avenue died at 4:45 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2003, at her home.

Mrs. Cash retired after 31 years at National Linen where she was head seamstress and a union steward. She also worked as a nanny for several local families.

She was a member of Ohio Street Wesleyan Church for 56 years.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. James B. Keaton officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or Special Olympics.

Born in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., July 3, 1922, Mrs. Cash was the daughter of Charles and Fannie Bean Chaplin. She married James R. Cash Feb. 15, 1941.

Survivors include sons, James Lee Cash of Jonesboro, Tenn., Charles C. Cash of Greenwood and David L. Cash of Columbus; daughters, Carolyn Sue Keaton of Stuart, Fla., and Barbara Collins, Karen Williams and Sharon K. Cash, all of Columbus; brothers, Burnice Chaplin of Columbus and Ransom Carnahan of Westport; a sister, Jenny Budd of Monroe, Wash.; 25 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Jan. 31, 1986; a son, Gerald Cash; four brothers; and two sisters.

Eleeze B. Cash, 80, died Friday, March 7, 2003, at her residence in Columbus.

She was born July 3, 1922, in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. Her parents were Charles and Fannie (Bean) Chaplin. She married James R. Cash on Feb. 15, 1941. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1986. Survivors include three sons, James Lee Cash of Jonesboro, Tenn., Charles C. Cash of Greenwood and David L. Cash of Columbus; four daughters, Carolyn Sue Keaton of Stuart, Fla., and Barbara Collins, Karen Williams and Sharon K. The Rev. James B. Keaton will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street in Columbus. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
