Woman Dies at Age 80
Miss Emma V. Chaplin 80, of Zanesville Route 4 died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bethesda Hospital where she had been a patient since Feb. 11.
She was born at Clarksburg , W.Va. Jan. 17,1883, a daughter of Thomas and Eleanor Matheny Chaplin, and had lived in the Zanesville area for 61 years.
Miss Chaplin was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ida Scott of Clarksburg, Mrs. Mattie Varner of Boggs road and Miss Lena Chaplin of the home and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
