Chaplin, Loy K. "Kenny", 75, of Paden City, WV died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV due to a battle with cancer.

"Kenny" was born September 22, 1936 in Glen Easton, WV, son of the late Albert and Mary Gable Chaplin.

"Kenny" served in the U.S. Army, retired from Ormet, a member of the New Martinsville Moose Lodge No. 931 and captain of the Moose bowling team, loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and West Virginia Mountaineers, hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and a member of the Woodsfield Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-five years, Nancy M. Chaplin; four brothers, Howard Chaplin, Dana Chaplin, Delbert Chaplin and Frank Chaplin and sister, Evelyn Riter.

Surviving are son, Chad (Rachel) Chaplin of Paden City, WV; two grandsons, Alec and Zac Chaplin; brother, Arch Chaplin; five sisters, Almeda Leichter, Edith Postlethwaite, Eldean Komorowski, Alberta Cheon and Marlene DeMarco; brother-in-laws, Don (Connie) Chambers and Paul Eugene (Hollis) Chambers and many nieces and nephews.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2011 with Scott Chambers officiating.
Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens in New Martinsville, WV.
