Mr. Chandler was a member of Headquarters Battery of the 119th Anti-Aircraft
Artillery Gun Battalion (Mobile), US Third Army, ETO, World War II. His unit landed
on Utah Beach in Normandy, France, on July 8, 1944, and ended the war in the
Nunchernau area of southern Germany in may 1945.
