Linda Tunaitis, 59, of Ashford, Boone County, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at home after a short illness. She was a secretary for Independent Explosives, Hernshaw, and was a member of Mahone Chapel United Methodist Church, Ashford, and Eastern Star. Surviving: companion, Clarence "Jiggs" Corder of Hernshaw; daughters, Maria Cartwright of Cross Lanes, Lea Anna Canterbury of Ashford; mother, Anna Chandler of Ashford; brother, Gary Chandler of Ashford; four grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Barker Cemetery, Ashford. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
