Bettye Ruth Champlin, age 78, of Lexington, Kentucky, the wife of Charles Leon "Lee" Champlin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. She was born May 22, 1931, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, daughter to the late James and Lillie Workman. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: a daughter, Katie (Sam) Haggard, of Lexington; two sons, Brad (Pam) Craycraft, of Lexington, and Boone (Renee) Setters, of Danville; Leon's three children, Teresa (Dean) Fritz, Debbie (Barry) Frederick and Valerie Hammond; five grandchildren, Michele Hurt, Brandy Craycraft, Keeley Dettlinger, Chelsea Haggard and Bryan Dalton; and five great-grandchildren, Lily Hurt, Christian Hurt, Triston Craycraft, Emily Craycraft and Ashleigh Craycraft.

Services are private. In honor of Bettye's life and legacy, donations can be made in her name to the Ashleigh Cancer Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.
