Eleanor was born to Charles Hale and Alva Champ in Taylor, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She received Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. G. V. Clark and later joined Zion Rest Baptist Church under Pastor R. E. Foster. She then united with Rosewood Avenue Baptist Church under Pastor Coby Shorter, III.
Eleanor attended Sidney Lanier High School and graduated in 1978. She participated in "Elite Track Team" and ran cross country, the mile, 800 and all distance and won many track awards.
Eleanor and Byron Carr were united in matrimony and two sons were born to this union, Byron A. Carr and Terrance S. Carr.
In 2002 Eleanor united in holy matrimony to Kenneth Prosser in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Eleanor was employed by Motorola Corporation for over 23 years until her health failed. She was a supervisor-Manager of Moss-2-11.
Eleanor leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kenneth Prosser; mother, Alva Clark; sons, Byron Carr and Terrance Carr; stepdaughter, Kendra Prosser; stepson, Kenneth Ray Prosser II; brothers, David Champ, Charlie Clark, Jerrell Clark, Clyde Clark; sisters, Charlene Clark, Dr. Cheryl Clark-Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers and classmates.
