Abraham B. Chambers was born the son of Alexander & Mary (?) Chambers.
He was united in marriage to Sarah Elizabeth Stephens on July 03, 1854, in Marion County, Iowa. The young couple began their new life on a farm where ten children were born, to bless the home, five surviving to adulthood: Lucinda Ann Chambers, Francis A. "Frank" Chambers, James Thomas Chambers, Stephen Douglas Chambers, Silently Born Infant Daughter, Mary Jane Chambers, Lucetta Chambers, Cumberland Chambers, Elcy Chambers, and William Green Chambers. They also raised their granddaughter, Clara Bickford after the death of her mother, Elcy (Chambers) Bickford in 1898.
The messenger of death, a frequent visitor to this family, again came to call, and answering the summons, after 49 years of marriage, he entered the spirit world at the age of 70y, 8m, 13d.
