She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Chambers Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn Gerlach; one son, James A. Chambers Jr. (Regina); four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanett Via; one brother, Johnny H. Jones Jr. (Mary) of Hampton; two daughters-in-law, Greta and a devoted, Nancy K. Chambers; five nieces; one cherished great-niece, Monica 'Wanda' Edwards; four nephews, a host of other relatives and friends; and one devoted lifetime friend, Rosalee Lewis.
Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., Richmond, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today, and where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
