Hazel Fugate Chambers, 85 of Rockhouse Fork, Campton, beloved widow of the late Virling Chambers, departed this life Monday, Feb. 28, 2011.

She was a daughter of the late Bud and Millie Combs Fugate, born at Campton, KY on Dec. 4, 1925.

She was a homemaker and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was of the Church of God faith.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Chambers, of Rogers, and Harold Chambers and wife, Bernetta, of Walton; 10 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; two brothers, Bill Fugate, of Campton, and J.D. Fugate, of Independence; three sisters, Opal Lee Lawson, of Verona, Verg Reed, of Price Hill, and Anna Mae Brewer, of Campton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hazel was preceded in death by one brother, Green Fugate; and six sisters, Myrtle Dean, Gertie Noble, Pyna Little, Mary Elizabeth Stamper, Pearl Ratliff and Dosh Esteridges.

Burial in the Fugate Cemetery at Rockhouse Fork with Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Chris Chambers, Michael Chambers, Carl Wilson, Phillip Lane, James Dean and William Dean.
