Iris Maxine Barrett, 84, of South Beaver Township, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 31, 1924, in Indianapolis, IN, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Lula B. Lynch Chamberlin, she retired as a data processor with the Indiana State Police after 29 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Barrett, on May 6, 2002; a brother, Cecil Morris, and a sister, Frances Meyer.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Ron Copeland, South Beaver Township; a grandson, Tim Copeland, South Beaver Township, and two great-grandsons, Bryce and Ryan Copeland, Chippewa Township.
Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the LUTTON CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME, 117 Blackhawk Road, www.luttonfuneralhome.com.
Interment will be in Washington Park Cemetery Association Inc., Indianapolis, IN.
