PATTEN - Claire Chamberlain, 84, died Nov. 26, 2009, in Houlton. She was born Oct. 24, 1925, in Boston. She retired after 35 years from Rathaeon, where she met and married her loving husband, Dana, a decorated Korean War veteran, while working on Trident missiles. They retired to Patten, which was Dana's hometown, where they lived happily for many years.
She is survived by family members, Wendy "Babe" and Mike Folsom of Hammond, Richard and Pam Conrad of Burlington, Lewis and Carla Conrad of Island Falls, Jack Conrad of Florida, Noreen Shorey of Burlington, Rose Jenkins of Topsfield, Norma and Bill Putnam of Elajay, Ga., Joy Conrad and Ray, and Jacob, Alexander and Blake, all of Linneus, Sgt. John Conrad and Nak of Waterville and Jeramie Conrad of Charleston, S.C.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Dana in 2006; one brother and one sister.
Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Monday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where a funeral service will begin 2 p.m. Interment will be at Patten Cemetery. (Bangor Daily News 11/28/2009)
