BENTON - Almon F. Chamberlain Jr. of Benton passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007. He was born in Waterville on May 31, 1938, the son of the late Almon F. Chamberlain Sr. and Lelia (Clifford) Chamberlain.

Almon attended schools in Benton. Over the years he had been employed with Lee Brothers Construction and Farrin Brothers and Smith Construction as a truck driver. He always enjoyed having a few animals and tending a small farm at home.

Almon had a wonderful sense of humor and always enjoyed telling stories. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Earnest Chamberlain; and three sisters, Lucille Ham, Thelma Amy, and Pauline Chamberlain.

Almon will be deeply missed by his wife, Ethel Chamberlain; his children, Dale Chamberlain and his wife, Sandra, of Albion, Timothy Chamberlain and his girlfriend, Jill Caron, of Benton, Helen Hajney and her husband, Ray, of Springvale, and Tammie Chamberlain and her fiancŽ, Ken Bushaw Jr., of Benton; his sisters, Edith Robinson of Benton, Gladys Benner of Fairfield, Christine Raven of California, June Fowler of Troy, and Helen Gurney of Benton; his grandchildren, Katherine, Michael, Thomas John, Kevin, and Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Falls Cemetery in Benton. (Morning Sentinel
