Esther Anna Davis was born in Jennings County, Indiana, August 8, 1837, and died July 2, 1908, at her home, 216 East Walnut Street, aged seventy years, ten months, and twenty four days. The cause of death was tuberculosis of one year's duration. Mrs. Davis was married January 30, 1868, in Jennings County to William J. Davis, who died March 5, 1897. The following children survive: Mrs. Harry J. Walton, Delila J. McGuire, Bertha J. Gullion, Rosa A. Tinder, Ben L. Davis and Everett M. Davis--all of this city. Two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Conk and Mrs. Martha Poll also survive. She was a member of the Walnut Street Church, this city. The funeral will be held at the church edifice at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 5, Rev. Chamuess, officiating. Burial at Center Cemetery.
