Mark W. Chaffee, 60, of Candor, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2003. His father, Paul Chaffee, preceded him. He is survived by his wife, Mary Chaffee; his daughter, Colleen (David) Heggelke, Owego; sons, Mark Creeley, Ennis, Tex., Brent and Clint Chaffee, Candor; three grandchildren, Heather and Jocelyn Gaska and Brandon Chaffee; mother, Julia Chaffee, Owego; one brother, John (Ruth) Chaffee, Susquehanna, Pa.; three sisters, Sandra Chaffee, Tyler, Tex., Claudia (Vincent) Carlini, Endwell, and Rachel (Paul) Christoffell, Wellington, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mark was a self-employed carpet installer for many years and operated Mark's Rugs in Candor. His interest in golf has carried on in Brent and Clint having all three broken the course record at Catatonk. Special thank you to the nurses of Robert Packard Hospital and his special "Guardian Angels" on 6 Southwest. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his enjoyment of life.

At Mark's request, private services will be held at at later date in celebration of his life. Arrangements are by Allen Memorial Home, Endicott. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Mark's memory.
