The death yesterday evening in this city, of Mrs. Catharine Chadwick, wife of D. J. Chadwick, Esq., will bring honest sorrow to the hearts of her large circle of friends. While her death was not wholly unexpected, having for six months past been an invalid, it was not felt that her life of usefulness would be brought thus early to a close.
Mrs. Chadwick was born in Hamilton, Ohio, where she passed her years up to womanhood among friends who learned to love and respect her for kindliness of disposition and true Christian virtues. With her husband she came to this city in 1873, where the years up to the time of her death have been passed among hosts of friends. The remains will be embalmed and taken to Hamilton for interment on the old family homestead. Mr. Chadwick and his two sweet little girls have the sympathy of the community in their afflicting dispensation.
