Maria C. Baca, 81, a resident of Hurley, entered into eternal rest at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Baca was born Sept. 24, 1913, in Dwyer to Juan M. and Mercedes Regalado Chacon. She was a homemaker and a communicant of Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Hurley. She is Survived by five sons, Ramon Baca and his wife, Carmen, of Faywood, Vidal Baca Jr. and his wife, Elsie, of Oxnard, Calif., Reynaldo Baca of Silver City Jimmy Baca and his wife, Della, of Hurley, and Elfego Baca and his wife, Sally, of Silver City; four daughters, Magdalena B. Castorena of Alamogordo, Julia Hernandez of Carson, Calif., Corina Chavez and her husband, Joe, of Silver City, and Gloria Corral her husband Bobby, also of Silver City; two brothers, Ramon R. Chacon of Central and Abran R. Chacon of Faywood; three sisters, Manuela Carrillo of Faywood, Elvira Ramirez of Anaheim, Calif., and Frances Pena of Faywood; 43 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded into death in October of last year by her husband of 62 years, Vidal M. Baca. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapels, followed by the rosary at 7 with Deacon Johnnie Perez reciting. The mass of resurrection will be celebrated at 10 in the morning Friday at San Jose Catholic Church in Faywood with the Rev. Sam Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at the Faywood Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Joel Alarcon, Manuel B. Hernandez, Eddie Corral, Ronnie Baca, Tim Baca, Gary Molano and Bill Castorena. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapel.
