Funeral services were held August 18, 1965 at the Fairmount Baptist Church for Dwight M. Certain, a life resident of the Fairmount Community. The rites were conducted by Rev. Robert Mason. Internment was in Davis Cemetery, Fairmount, with Carrington Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was the son of Sherman and Catherine Murray Certain. He was born in Fairmount on December 10, 1904. He was a member of the Fairmount Baptist Church and of the Modern Woodsmen of America. He was employed by the Illinois Division of Highways.

He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Leota Parrish and Mrs. Louise Hunter of Fairmount, Mrs. Pauline Lewis of S. Pasadena, California, Mrs. Nola Perkins of Chicago, and Mrs Wintress Bennett of Danville.
