Son of Michaelangelo "Michele" A. Cerminara, of Italy. Contrary to the birth year on his headstone, on his first two marriage license applications, some of the oldest documents available for him, he stated he was born in 1869. He married first wife, Eva Owesney on Dec 21, 1896, in Pittsburgh. After her death, he married Maria Grazia (Grace) Rizzuto on Jul 19, 1903 in Pittsburgh. Grace was the youngest of three sisters the family brought over from Italy as eligible brides for Raffaele. He was a tailor in Pittsburgh, and a member of The Sons of Italy. His application to this society, which he joined in 1917, confirms his wife's name, and provides a death date. With Eva he was father of Angelo and James Vincent, with Grace he was father of 11 additional children. He lived on Broadway Ave, was a tailor, died from cirrhosis of the liver and was buried in Calvary Oct 8, 1928. PA Death Cert# 101159
