Elizabeth was the daughter of Asa and Margaret (Foster) Caywood, who are buried next to her. She married William Wells on October 21, 1847 in Hendricks County. They had two children: George (1849-1851, buried near her) and Mary Jane (1852-1912) who married George Proctor in 1891. William died in 1905 and is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Brownsburg.
