Cayce Is Dead
After Illness

Granville Cayce III. vice president of Cayce Mill Supply Co. and prominent local civic and church leader, is dead at age 32.

Cayce died Friday evening at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn following a five-month illness.

Funeral services will be II a.m Monday al the First Christian Church, with the Rev. Robert Franz officiating and burial in the Riverside Cemetery.

Cayce was active member and leader of the local Jaycees chapter. In 1980, he received the coveted "Jaycee of the Year" award for his active involvement in the organization.

Before becoming ill, he took a leadership role in raising funds and overseeing construction of the newly-completed Jaycee Multipurpose Building at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds

He also was an active member of the Fair Board. which dedicated this year's fair in his honor. He also was an active participant in the local United Way fundraising efforts. He was nn Eagle Scout and active in scout activities

He was a deacon ut First Christian Church and a former Chi Rho leader at the church.

A native 01 Christian County. he was born dune 9. 1949. the son of Granville L. Cayce Jr. and Billie Lee Watson Cayce. His wife is Karen Sholar Cayce.

Surviving besides his wife and parents are: two brothers, Breck and
Mike Cayce, both of Hopkinsville, and grandparents, Mrs. Granville L. Cayce Sr and Mr and Mrs. Hobart Watson, all of Hopkinsville.
