Nora Belle Bottom, 91, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Tim Rehmer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wilfong, Mike Wilfong, Jason Caton, Keith Anderson, Chris Spence and Billy Schader. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice, in care of the funeral chapel.
Born June 25, 1921 in Otterville, MO, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. and Virginia Belle (Coffman) Caton. She was united in marriage to William R "Bill" Bottom, who preceded her in death on June 22, 1998. She is survived by two nieces, Patricia Wilfong, of Otterville, and Helen Schader, of Smithton; and two nephews, Robert Caton, of Cole Camp, and Charles Caton, of Otterville. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Lee, Roy, Bill, Dan, Sam, Earl and J. Oliver Caton.
Mrs. Bottom was a member of First Baptist Church. She served as treasurer of the Keenagers Sunday School class. She was on the Board of Directors and was also past committee chairwoman for OATS. She was a member of the Knife and Fork Club. She loved decorating for the holidays, and loved flowers, embroidery, and collecting cardinals. Nora Belle was a very caring wife, aunt and friend, who touched many lives in her 91 years.
