Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at Carmack Church of Christ, with burial in Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sadie Cathey; three daughters, Elsa McLaughlin, Beatrice Cathey, Mrs. Alexzine Sanders, all of Chicago. Ili.; five sons, Douglas, Wilbert and Lonnie Cathey, all of Columbia, Brooks Cathey Jr., Chicago, Edward Cathey, Nashville; 30 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
