Found in The State 09 March 1957: Mrs. Eugene C. Cathcart, Sr. of 7 Gibbes Court, died at the Columbia Hospital about 8 o'clock last night. She was the former Louise DuBose Dwight, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Dwight of Winnsboro and Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from Trinity Church by the Rev. Gray Temple, rector. Survivors include two sons, Eugene C. Cathcart of Kingsport, Tenn., and Charles Dwight Cathcart of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Henry London Taylor (Louise Cathcart) of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Eugene Cathcart, 3d and Charles Stevens Cathcart of Kingsport; Miss Coles Heywar Cathcart, C. Dwight Cathcart, Jr., and Edmund Heyward Cathcart of Columbia; Miss Louise Dwight Taylor and Henry L. Taylor, Jr., of Columbia; two sisters, Miss Martha P. Dwight of Columbia and Mrs. G. F. Patton of Winnsboro and one brother, Charles S. Dwight of Charleston.
