Castleman-Dawson

WINCHESTER, VA., October 24. – (Special.) – Miss Pauline Dawson, daughter of the late Major Lucien L. Dawson of Charlestown, W.Va., formerly of the United States marine corps, was married at the residence of her aunt, Mrs. General John Walker, in this city, this afternoon, to Mr. John S. Castleman, of Jefferson county, W.Va. The wedding was a quiet affair, only members of the two families being present. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Charles Dawson, and the best man was Dr. Henry Castleman, the bridegroom’s brother. Rev. R.S. Coupland, pastor of Zion Episcopal church, of Charlestown, performed the ceremony. After a wedding breakfast the couple left on a northern wedding tour. The bride is a niece of Miss Florence Courteney Baylor, the southern authoress.
